As the United States is seeing all kinds of weather from severe weather across the High Plains tonight to the Great Lakes the next couple of days. The real feel of summer is now here and looks to stay for about a week until thankfully by next week we see some relief from the heat.
As we move into the rest of the week across the Great Lakes it will feature rounds of Thunderstorms that could produce heavy rainfall that you can see on the map above. Looking at severe chances are quite possible across the High Plains today (Tuesday). Main features Tuesday will involve tornadoes, hail and damaging winds. The threat will continue to move east as we work our way into the week with the Great Lakes having a good chance to see some thunderstorms. Temperatures will fall off slowly but still remain quite mild compared to average for many!
The pattern will allow for a ring of fire track of storms. That means rounds of thunderstorms will develop at the top of the heat ridge and slide to the southeast into the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley. A cold front located in New England will be another focus for possible storm development.
