It’s certainly not your typical February pattern. It’s not rare to see thunderstorms with a heavy zone of snow on the northern side in February. Most times those storms are in the Deep South. But Thursday brings wind and storms into the Ohio Valley and lower Great Lakes. It can get pretty gusty with damaging winds of 60 mph possible.
A little stripe of snow will happen in the Midwest, but it’s pretty sad for this time of year. Not much snow will really happen anywhere over the next week. There is a shot into the Southeast and Mid Atlantic though.
We examine the pattern and see if any winter changes are in sight.
